At the Modern Warrior Academy of Self Defence, we focus on real combat scenarios and tough training to prepare you for anything that might come your way. When facing real life threats, you need to know the skills that will help you survive and get home! We focus on four main styles that make up the basis of our self-defence program: Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and Silat. We also teach the founding principles of martial arts such as discipline, respect, integrity and honour.

Our intensive programs will help you improve your acute spatial awareness, and learn about proper technique and application of force. Whether you are looking to gain confidence, strength, or you just want to learn how to stand your ground, Modern Warrior will help you create a stronger version of yourself.

We don’t care how you look or what your current fitness level is. Our mission is to empower, strengthen and prepare you for whatever you might face outside the dojo. You will get in the best shape of your life while learning effective and applicable self-defence techniques through various martial arts disciplines. We practice through simulations of real life situations, so that you are ready to protect yourself anywhere, anytime. We teach practical defence techniques while incorporating the training regimen of a fighter. You will go through rigorous strength and conditioning that will train your body as well as your mind. We will help you get accustomed to the adrenaline rush that comes with any altercation, learn how to control those emotions, and distinguish between when is a good time to ‘fight or flight’. We have smaller class sizes with longer class hours to ensure your getting the attention you need and taking the time to learn techniques properly.

Our goal is to create an ego-free, safe and fun environment. We aim to build a community that supports and challenges you to be the best that you can every time you come to train. This is place where you can express yourself honestly and fully, a place where you can leave your troubles at the door and focus on the self. This is the purpose of a dojo.
