At Modern Warrior Academy, our Judo program is led by Abby Lloyd, a five-time national champion and All-American wrestling titleholder. With experience on the national and international stage, Abby blends traditional Judo techniques with elements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and wrestling, ensuring a well-rounded, highly effective grappling program.

About the Instructor

Your instructor, Abby Lloyd, is a highly accomplished judoka whose passion for grappling began with judo and has flourished over many years of dedicated training. Abby competed extensively, achieving All-American status and a national wrestling title at SFU, building upon her strong judo foundation. With her comprehensive experience and competitive background—including collegiate wrestling—Abby brings technical depth, practical skills, and enthusiasm to every judo class, helping students develop confidence, discipline, and self-defense proficiency in a supportive environment.
