More than just a single martial art, our Afterschool MMA Program offers a comprehensive journey into the world of self-defense. Karate is more than just a sport; it’s a life-changing discipline With the help of instructor Sasha, Cody, and our team of assistants, we are creating the first-ever full ground, grappling, and striking self-defense course for kids in all of BC. This fully-rounded MMA program is designed to build confidence, discipline, and practical skills for kids between the ages of 5 and 11.

Our top-rated academy has been successfully training students since 1992. We blend multiple disciplines, including Kyokushin Karate, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Greco-Roman Wrestling, into a unique and engaging curriculum. This approach ensures your child remains motivated, challenged, and develops a true passion for martial arts.

Your instructor, Sasha, brings over 30 years of martial arts experience, including 20 years competing at national and international levels. With expertise in Kyokushin karate, boxing, Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, wrestling, and Jiu-Jitsu, Sasha provides young students with comprehensive training in a safe, engaging environment. His own journey, training internationally in countries such as Japan, Germany, and the United States, began at a young age—including training directly under the legendary Shihan Makoto Nakamura. Sasha’s passion for martial arts inspires his students to build confidence, discipline, and valuable life skills inside and outside the dojo.

Cody specializes in teaching Brazilian Jujitsu and Greco-Roman wrestling, providing a focused and safe environment for kids to learn essential ground-based self-defense skills.

This continuous program allows children to progress, learn, and build their skills consistently throughout the school year in a structured and encouraging setting.
