A Strong Martial Arts Option for Teens

Teen Jiu-Jitsu is ideal for students who want something practical, challenging, and skill-based. It helps teens learn how to stay calm under pressure, move with control, solve physical problems, and build real self-defence ability without relying on size or aggression alone. For teenagers who want more than a basic fitness class, this is a place to train hard, think clearly, and grow stronger inside and outside the dojo.

Confidence Through Skill

Teens build belief in themselves as they learn how to control positions, escape pressure, and improve week by week.

Control Under Pressure

Jiu-jitsu teaches students how to think clearly, stay composed, and make better decisions when training gets uncomfortable.

Real Self-Defence Foundations

Training focuses on leverage, awareness, and control, not just athleticism, size, or teenage confidence levels before a haircut.

Honest Answers for Parents and Teens

No. Teen Jiu-Jitsu is beginner-friendly. New students learn movement, safe training habits, positions, and partner etiquette step by step before intensity increases.

Students work on takedowns, control, positional awareness, escapes, and grappling-based self-defence, drawing from Judo, Wrestling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In plain language: they learn how to move, stay calm, and solve problems on the mats.

Jiu-jitsu can be safe for teens when classes are coached with control, supervision, and a strong safety culture. Coach Cody emphasizes control and self-defence without unnecessary harm, which helps students train seriously without training recklessly.

Two classes per week is a strong starting point for consistency. It gives teens enough repetition to improve without turning the family schedule into its own martial arts tournament.

Teen Jiu-Jitsu classes run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That gives enough time for warm-ups, instruction, partner drills, and controlled application.

Comfortable athletic clothing and a water bottle are enough for the first class. Avoid clothing with zippers or hard parts that can catch during grappling. We can guide you on gear after the intro class.
