We teach a combination of martial arts styles designed for real-world self-defense and practical application. Our training includes elements of MMA, Kali, wrestling, karate, jiu-jitsu, judo, boxing, and kickboxing. The goal is to develop well-rounded individuals prepared for any altercation. We focus also on de-escalation and verbal techniques to avoid conflict entirely.

We welcome students of all experience levels, typically starting from age 6 and up however for the more striking focused classes we start at 12 years and up.
Not at all! Our classes are designed for beginners and experienced martial artists alike. Our instructors will help you build confidence and skills, no matter your starting point.
Your first class will introduce you to the fundamentals of movement, striking, and defense. We’ll start with a warm-up, followed by drills, technique instruction, and controlled practice. Bring comfortable workout clothes, a willingness to learn and a good attitude!
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for movement. Rash guards, shorts, or leggings are great choices. Avoid loose-fitting clothes that could get caught during training.

We have two membership fees: those who wish to train twice a week on scheduled times or those who wish to train all the classes with no specified times. For more information on pricing, give us a call.
We offer a 6-month contract, with a month-to-month continuation afterward. This allows students to commit to their training and see real progress. All payments are made however month to month.
If you cancel before your 6-month contract ends, the remaining balance must be paid in full. This ensures fairness to both students and the academy.
We do offer family rates, however please give us a call and we can make sure that pricing isn’t an issue for you and your family to start training with us.
Most training fees cover instruction, but some equipment (gloves, shin guards, etc.) may be required. Testing fees may apply for advanced students pursuing higher ranks. For equipment, we can discuss options and locations where gear can be purchased, this can be done online or through modern warrior.
For beginners, we provide loaner gear. However, as you continue training, we highly recommend purchasing your own gloves, shin guards, mouthguard, and other protective equipment.
For steady improvement, we recommend training at least 2–3 times per week. Consistency is key!
Yes! Private lessons are available for those who want individualized coaching or to accelerate their progress. Contact us for pricing and scheduling. We also have two of our instructors that are certified personal trainers and have their own business that they run out of the dojo called “StrongerTogether”
We do not follow a traditional belt ranking system for all disciplines, but progress is measured through skill development, sparring ability, and instructor evaluations. Students in styles with ranking systems (e.g., jiu-jitsu and karate) will be tested accordingly. We are also the only school in BC that will expects students to have a competent understanding of wrestling, judo and jujitsu in order to get their jujitsu belting. It takes longer, however we have found that our students end up being more well rounded and competent in the art of grappling.
Yes! Safety is our priority. We use controlled training methods, proper protective gear, and instructor supervision to minimize risk. However, as with any physical activity, some level of risk exists.
If you experience an injury, let your instructor know immediately. Members may freeze their accounts for up to 2 months with 30 days’ notice in cases of injury, illness, or extended leave.

- Keep personal hygiene in check (trim nails, clean gear, etc.).
- No bullying or misuse of techniques outside the gym.

Yes! While competition is not mandatory, we support and train students who wish to compete in kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, and other combat sports.

Yes, parents are welcome to observe! However, we ask that you respect the learning environment by keeping noise to a minimum. Please try not to be on your phone and pay attention to your child if you decide to be there in class.
No! In fact, martial arts teaches self-control, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution. Kids learn that martial arts is for defense and personal growth, not for bullying or aggression.
